QCWA's Website Guidelines
  • All web pages must load in a reasonable amount of time over any type of connection.
  • Non standard HTML commands, Java script, active X or any other screen manipulation code that is used must have a default so all browsers, new or old, display a usable web page. This site will never need cookies enabled to function properly.
  • The webmaster is responsible for appearance and form, not content.
  • The webmaster will make recommendations based on what is available, what he is capable of or what the server that the QCWA website code is stored on allows.
  • The webmaster must be readily accessible via e-mail, USPS or telephone.
  • The webmaster should have a variety of graphics packages available.
  • The webmaster should have, or have access to a digital camera and scanner.
  • The webmaster must test or have tested new web pages with MS Explorer, Netscape, AOL, WebTV and on a MAC. He should test it on his PC prior to installation on the web with as many of the above as possible. Arrangements for other members to test the operation with the other browsers should be made.
The QCWA Board of Directors adopted these Guidelines in October of 2005.

73,
