Joseph Gilbert Davis, 82, of Cherokee Village, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006.
Mr. Davis was the son of Jesse and Dixie Britt Davis.He was a Navy veteran, serving 30 years, and received the Purple Heart for injuries during World War II. He was a member of Spring River Presbyterian Church where he married Anne Carlson Reed Nov. 2, 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Reed Davis of Cherokee Village; two stepsons, Terry and Tom Reed; and three stepgrandchildren.Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland will announce memorial services at a later date.
