Oscar Felden, 86, of 2207 Mint Lane, Wausau, died Sunday, November 17, 1996, at home with his wife, daughter and son-in-law.

He was born December 19, 1909 in Ancel, Mo., the son of the late Adolph and Dorothea (Buhls) Felden. He married Theophila Heckman on March 28, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. She survives.

Oscar's family moved to the Detroit area in the 1920s. He was a teacher and administrator with the Detroit Board of Education for 40 years. Oscar, WB7ETF, was an amateur radio operator since 1929 and a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Ass'n.

Survivors besides his wife of 55 years, Theophila .Theo. Felden include one daughter Mary Jane (John) Grabowski, Wausau, and one sister Helen (Bud) Drouillard, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

There will be no services planned at this time. Memorials may be given in memory of Oscar to the Marathon County Public Library Book Foundation Fund, 300 N. Church Street, Wausau, Wisconsin. Kramer Funeral Home, Wausau was entrusted with arrangements.
