Joseph J. Bell May 12, 1923 - April 11, 2012 Plainfield - Joseph J. Bell, 88, of 110 Ledgewood Acres, beloved husband of Lorraine (Bernier) Bell passed away Wednesday morning at Regency Heights in Danielson. He was born May 12, 1923 in Springfield, MA. a son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Gardner) Bell. Mr. Bell had resided in Plainfield since 1974 moving from Foster, RI. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, having received the bronze star. Mr. Bell was employed by the former Pervel Industries for 35 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of VFW Post 5446 and was a ham radio operator for over 30 years, WA1FCA.

Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Linda Zurowski of Canterbury, Renee Roberts of Plainfield and Nancy Hicks of Attleboro, MA; one son Kraig Benoit of Otis Orchard, WA; five grandchildren Jennifer Watson, Justin Zurowski, Jared Zurowski, Kraig L'Heureux and Dennis Hicks; one great grandchild Xander Zurowski. Burial with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery.
