Lester A. Peterson, "W9YCV." Born to Eternal Life Tuesday, August 23, 2011, age 94. Reunited with his beloved wife Grace. Loving dad of Cynthia Winard and Bruce Peterson. Proud grandpa of Julie Crawford and Lisa (Jace) Erdmann. Great-grandpa of Justin, Mikayla and Nathan Crawford, and Casey Erdmann. He will be missed by many friends.
Les was a graduate from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Lt. Colonel, retired. He was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church since 1962. He received his first amateur radio license in 1936 and has belonged to the American Radio Relay League, West Allis Radio Amateur Club, Milwaukee Radio Amateur Club and the Milwaukee Repeater Club.
Visitation at the Funeral Home, Saturday, August 27, 11AM-12:45 PM. Service 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to West Allis Radio Amateur Club Scholarship Fund.
