RICHARD EVAN FRANCIES, age 94, of Willoughby, OH.

Former Prisoner of War and Survivor of the "Bataan Death March" and 35 year employee of the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company, died Oct. 13, 2011 in Chardon.

Loving companion of Margaret "Peg" Skelly of Willoughby; father of Susan (John) Heaton of N. Barrington, IL., and Katharine (Kent) Kleiva of Palatine, IL.; loving grandfather of Richard Evan, Laura, Kristen and Kate; brother of the late Eleanor Smith.

Memorial service Sunday, Oct. 16 at 4 pm at the University Circle United Methodist Church, (formerly Epworth Euclid Methodist Church), 1919 E. 107th St., Cleveland, OH.

Family will receive friends IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE SERVICE AT THE CHURCH.

Donations are suggested to the Andersonville POW Memorial Museum, c/o Superintendent, Andersonville National Historic Site, 496 Cemetery Rd., Andersonville, GA 31711.

Private family burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC.
