* Born on August 1, 1938 in Iowa - Passed away on January 10, 2021 in Lebanon, Ohio
Ronald W Curtis, 82, passed away at his home in Otterbein, Lebanon Ohio on January 10th after a protracted battle with Alzheimer.s Disease.

Ron was born in northwestern Iowa and graduated from Albert City High School. Growing up an Iowa farm-boy, he was always practical in his outlook. Ron served in the Army in the Republic of Korea with the 64th Ordnance Company at Camp Red Cloud maintaining Hawk Missile Systems and attended Dunwoody Technical Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He spent a career working for Collins Radio, then for the US Air Force. His work started in Cedar Rapids where he worked on radios for the early space program. He then moved to Turkey, and he was able to live in Spain, Ohio, and Germany as well. He loved to travel and passed that love to his family. Some of his favorite places to visit were Lebanon (well before most of the unrest!), the Rhine & Mosel towns in Germany, ski slopes in Switzerland and Austria, and his children wherever they lived.

He retired from Civil Service and continued to travel, bicycle, and was active in various veteran.s groups as well as amateur radio. In retirement, he and Paula spent winters in Bonita Springs, Florida. They shared a love of NASCAR, great food, and friends.

He met his first wife Marcia in Turkey, and they had three boys, Mike, Eric, and Karl. Marcia passed away in 1990 after a battle with breast cancer. A few years later, he met Paula in Dayton Ohio and the two were inseparable until her death in 2019.

Ron leaves three children, two step-children, and ten grandchildren. Due to the complications caused by the current health situation, a memorial will be held in the Dayton Ohio area later in the year.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor to the Dunwoody Technical Institute (https://dunwoody.edu/) in Minneapolis, MN.
