It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jay Luster (Las Vegas, Nevada), born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 26, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jesse Luster and Stella Luster; and his wife Millie Luster. Due to Covid restrictions, the service is by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation be made to the Alzheimers Association in memory of Millie Luster. Jay Luster, 95 of Henderson, NV, passed away 01/26/2021in his home at Sunrise Assisted Living. He was born July 9, 1925 in Blackwell, OK to Jesse and Stella Luster. Jay served in the Navy where he learned to be an electrician. After serving, he hitchhiked to California with his fellow Navy buddy. In 1949, he started his own business, Luster Electric in Bellflower, CA. During the next 45 years in addition to being an electrical contractor he had a cabinetry business, served as President of the Chamber of Commerce, President of the Rotary Club, Advisor for the Interact Club for Bellflower High School and Board Secretary of Mid Cities Bank. Jay was always busy working, mentoring, serving, playing golf and enjoying life. He was married to Millie Luster for 41 years, she was the love of his life. She passed September 16, 2016 and he missed her every day.

He is survived by Marilyn Miller, Maryjean Day, Jack Luster, Marianne Luster, Suzanne Luster, Jack Luster Jr. and Jim Luster. Millie Luster and Stephanie Luster Morabito preceded him in death. Funeral will be held on February 24, 2021 at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Due to Covid restrictions, the service is by invitation only. Pastor David Dendy is officiating.
