Marion Gibson, age 94 of Huntsville passed away Nov 28, 2018. He was married for 71 years and had six children.

He was a decorated WWII veteran with the 79th fighter group serving in North Africa and Europe.

He graduated from API (Auburn) with BSEE and had a long and interesting career in industry and government, primarily in the Army missile system.

He was a registered professional engineer and an amateur radio operator.

He was a member of the North Alabama chapter of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society and a member of the Huntsville Literary Association.

He was a published author and enjoyed public speaking.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years Estelle Gibson; six children Michael Gibson, Susan Nakamoto, Marianne Phillips (Fred), Curtis Gibson (Barbara), Stanley Gibson (Penny), and Phill Gibson (Miiko); 13 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren.

Visitation is Sat., Dec. 1, 2018, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Dr. Michael Calvert.

Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, in Union Grove, AL.
