Roger was born March 24, 1929, to Wava Snowdall in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was a 1947 graduate of Lillis High School before going to work for Dictaphone.

Drafted into the Army, Roger was stationed in Germany and helped operate an amateur radio station there.

Amateur radio was a hobby he loved most of his life. His call sign was WØKWJ.

Following his military service, he enjoyed working at Calvin Productions. Roger later became a Maintenance administrator for Baptist Medical Center. His notable contributions included building a nurse call system and redesigning telephone communications.

After retirement, he worked at Bethany Medical Center and Truman Medical Center-Lakewood with maintenance and telecommunications.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Independence and had most recently attended Second Baptist Church in Liberty, MO. He was also a member of the Raytown Amateur Radio Club. He had many interests including inventing, reading, writing articles and poetry, building and flying model airplanes, and collecting amateur radio equipment. Roger was always ready to help troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, repair radios, or as an extra set of hands on a project. He will be remembered as a kind and helpful family member and neighbor.

Roger was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Jo Ann Nash Snowdall. Survivors include a son, Alan Snowdall (Kathy), and daughter Lisa Long (Don), as well as grandchildren Dawn Baker (Nathan), Melissa, Aaron and Ben Long, and 3 great grandchildren.
