I accidentally stumbled into ham radio later in life while reading a chapter on amateur satellites in some book I got from the library. I was hooked immediately. My previous call signs were: N8MVI, KF8PH and KG2RP. I started out on satellites and packet radio, and eventually got into HF. I find the hobby so much fun. Every day is an adventure. I have experimented with all the modes at some point in time. My hamming is random and scattered. What I do depends on how I feel at the moment. Whatever feels like fun!

I have been fortunate to be able to put together a wonderful assortment of radios and related equipment. This allows me to compare different radios under different conditions. My station includes:
