Memorial services for James Lewis "Jim" Moody, Jr., 74, will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Lou Ellerbrook officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Childress Cemetery. He passed away September 14, 2020 in Childress. He was born December 16, 1945 in Childress to James Lewis Moody, Sr. and Betty Coffey Moody. He was a Ham Radio Operator and a member of the Prairie Dog Amateur Radio Club, a beloved school bus driver for Childress ISD, an avid photographer and served as a communications specialist in the Air Force for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Childress and loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty L. Moody and a brother, Robert F. Moody II. Survivors include a son, Robert F. Moody III; a daughter, Tasha N. Crawford; and three grandchildren, Dominic A. Moody-Castagna, Emmalee Moody and Preston A. Moody-Gamache. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Childress, 201 Avenue D Ne, Childress, Texas, 79201.

I have returned to my home in Texas and I am in the process of setting up my station here in DM94vk.

There was a PIRATE using my callsign (NL7C). I have not had any reports lately of a the Pirate(s). (2013/2014)

Member Prairie Dog Amateur Radio Club N5OX, Treasurer, Trustee and Elmer.
The PDARC 2 meter repeater is active again, call is N5OX on 146.960 (--) Open (no tone). We have a new UHF on 442.400 MHZ (+). They are co-located in Childress, TX.
