John Lyster, age 85, of Dunnellon since 1981, was born in Leonidas, MI. (near Battle Creek) July 28, 1925 and passed away in Ocala January 11, 2011.

He served in WWII in the 82nd Airborne and was a member of the American Legion of Dunnellon and a member of the Rainbow Lakes United Methodist Church.

He was retired from the National Association of Letter Carriers of Michigan.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Lyster; sister Wilma Rench of Colon, MI. and brother Robert Lyster of Baldwin, MI; step father of Deborah Ruckle and Grandfather of 3 and Great grandfather of 2.

A memorial service will be held January 27, 2011 at 10 AM at Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Hospice of Marion County.
