Hi, we have probably talked on the radio or you have watched my videos on youtube and you are looking me up here on QRZ.com.
This is my older picture of my shack and me. I now have a Elecraft K3 along with a P3 as the primary radio. I do also have a TS-2000, FT-990, FT-857 and FT-817. Outside I have a couple of dipoles and a TH6-DXX up about 50 feet. I use TRX-Manager for radio control and logging. Henry has been replaced by an Ameritron AL-82.
I have an Echolink node running here at home on 446.00 FM. I may have it turned om during the weekend. You may connect to me at K7AGE-L or node number 271372. I am using a FT-7800 with a Fox Delta Echolink interface to a dual band Arrow Antenna J pole antenna.
I was first licensed in 1968. I have been involved with FM, building repeaters, playing with the satellites, and just within the past couple of years I started collecting DX QSL cards and special event certificates. Visitors always enjoy seeing these. I QSL mainly through the buro system. I would like to say thanks for everyone that takes the time to fill out their card and send it on its way to me. If you QSL direct, please include a SASE. I enjoy receiving every card.
I received my RTTY DXCC in Sept 2006, #1632. Thanks to everyone that has sent me QSL cards.
APRS-
I also have APRS setup in my mobile. You can check to see where I have been.
I have lots of fun in the ARRL RTTY RU and CQ RTTY WPX Contests.
I had a chance to visit ARRL and the W1AW radio station. It is a neat place to visit. The W1AW has three guest operating positions configured with many of the current popular radios. If you are in the area, plan a a few hours for a visit. You can find a video of my visit at my youtube address below.
VIDEOS ->
I have posted many videos over on youtube.com. I have videos of my shack, QSOs with DX stations, viewing of QSL cards, and other various topics. I try and add something new every few weeks. Check it out, follow the links and look at some of my favorite videos. Become a youtube member and post a video. This is a great way to get the ham radio message out to the world. I am amazed at the number of people that have subscribed to my videos. I have people from all over the world watching.
My PSK-31 and AO-51 series of videos are very popular. I have received many emails from guys around the world that have gotten on PSK-31 or the satellite from watching these videos. I have these videos available on DVD, email me for details.
You will find my videos here.
