Leslie Wayne Campbell, retired technical director of radio stations KFH, KBRA and KFBI died Jan. 6, 2004 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services was at Epworth United Methodist Church Jan 9., burial at Lakeview Cemetery. Les was born Dec. 23, 1923 in Diagonal, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Maude; brother Charles and sister, Deva. Since his retirement he was employed part-time as a security guard and dispatcher for Sedgwick County. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League, KOJBN, Amateur Radion Club, and Epworth UMC for 50 years.

Survivors: wife of 60 years, Polly; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Wendy of Lee's Summit, MO; grandsons, Bryan and Kyle; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Gwen of Treynor, IA; brother-in-law, Harold Weaver of Wichita; many nieces and nephews and little beloved companions, Molly and Timmy.
