I got my ham ticket in the summer of 1976, after taking a class at Barrington HS. I operated strictly cw until 1991 when I found the wonderful world of 220mhz. Somewhere around 1994or95 I passed my tech license and entered 2 meters. Wound up on simplex , and have stayed a simplex user most of the time. Still work cw once in a great while,but mostly phone, I belong to Badger contesters,QCWA,RACES,ARES,10-10 International,the CCSG(Cross County Simplex Group)and OMISS.
