I have many interests among which are woodworking, boating, fishing and ham radio of course.
I am now retired after 31 years with Louisiana's premier university (LSU). My work was in the area of oceanographic instrumentation and marine survey. One of my designs was deployed in the Gulf of Mexico monitoring hydrate gas seeps coming from the sea floor in 2000 feet of water while another was deployed in the coastal area monitoring ocean currents, temperature, tides, waves and suspended sediments in 20 feet of water.
I enjoy quality QSO's with other ham operators around the world and and getting to know what I can about the person on the other end. I am a member of the Baton Rouge Amateur Radio Club and ARRL.
