Lionel M. 'Mac' Gray
QCWA # 37283
Thanks for visiting my profile page. My name is Mac Gray, I live in Seebert, Pocahontas County, West Virginia situated along the banks of the Greenbrier River at 2070' above sea level. Our winter population is 43.
I enjoy working DX (SSB, CW, JT65) and ragchewing. I have two stations at my home location. In the loft of my cabin I run an Icom IC-7600 with Heil PR-781 mic, LDG AT1000ProII tuner and an Ameritron ALS-600 amp. I use an Ameritron ARB-500 interface with the rig and amp allowing auto band switching. The antenna system consists of a NA4RR Hexbeam for 6, 10, 12, 15 and 20 meters. A homebrew 3 element yagi for 17 meters. Wire antennas include 30 meter Double Bazooka, 75 meter dipole and a 160 meter full wave loop. The antennas terminate in an Ameritron RCS-8V remote switch located in my carport and only 20 feet from the tower. A single coax runs to the loft above.
The second station located in my living room, next to my wood stove (and recliner) is an Icom IC-7300 with Heil iCM mic, LDG AT-600ProII and an Ameritron ALS-600 amp. Switching between the two stations via an Alpha Delta switch.
Hope you enjoy the hobby as much as I do. If we have not worked I look forward to adding you to my log.
