I'm a retired science teacher having taught both High School and Jr High School for over 30 years. Served in the Marine Corps in 1966-1968. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Started ham radio over 40 years ago as a Novice and finally this last year upgraded to Extra. We live 8 miles outside of Ashland, Oregon which is located 20 miles North of the California border. Ashland is famous for the Shakespeare Festival. This area incudes the Rogue River which is famous for Salmon and Steelhead fishing. I'm also very active in our local Search and Rescue here in Jackson County. Current radios include a Yaseu FTDX 5000 and a Elecraft KX3 feeding a folded dipole. Enjoy DX and QRP.
