Here is the first rig of Chuck Fitch, W7ENS, in about 1934. The transmitter was a 46 crystal oscillator, 47 driver, and push-pull pair of 210s. Receiver was a Hammarlund Comet Pro. In 1935 he mounted the rig in a wooden rack with a masonite panel and one Weston milliameter instead of the Readrites. Chuck has been W7ENS (twice), W6QJR, W6ENS (twice), WØQJR, and now, since 1950, is W3ENS.
