I am located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area.
I am a RADIOMAN from early in life. I was first licensed in 1964 as a Novice, followed with my General. I was active for 15 years when I fell Off-The-Air and let my license lapse. My Radio-Active career with Motorola, American Paging and Sprint fulfilled my RF needs for 50 years. Now in retirement, I missed RF, retook the exam, received my General, and am reentering amateur radio. I have joined the ARRL and the local Maple Grove Radio Club (KØLTC). I am also a member of the Northland Antique Radio Club and the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting.
I still have my original Halicrafters Sky-Buddy S19 Receiver and the Home Brew crystal controlled transmitter I built from plans in the 1964 ARRL Handbook that got me on the air then but I plan on upgrading for reentry. I live in a suburban environment that restricts antennas so I am working to raise a covert antenna to get On-The-Air. My primary interest is to be active on HF but I may also get on local repeaters to expand my activities. I will update this profile when I build a station.
I look forward to becoming Radio-Active again, rejoining this wonderful RF community, meeting you and benefitting from your experienced guidance as I move forward.
73,
Pat
