Chapter 8

Patrick Thomas Durgin, 89, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota July 1924. Patrick was an avid fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, tropical beach lover and lifelong ham radio operator. He loved jazz music and Waylon and Willie. As an early computer age marketing pioneer, Patrick found great success and pride in designing and marketing municipal water systems in operation throughout the continent. He will be remembered fondly for his sharp wit, sense of humor, the spring in his step and his ability to make new friends quickly. He was a proud father of 3 sons and loved his friends and family dearly. Patrick died in Madison, Alabama July 2014.

He is survived by his sister, Jo; his sons, Tom, Scott and Rick, their wives; six grand children and two great grand children. He will be greatly missed by the many who knew him and will never be forgotten. The love and humor that Patrick shared with us all survives his passing, as will the fond memories of his smile and the good times spent with him.
