VE3KL David R. 'Dave' Conn Ottawa, ON Canada QCWA # 32251 Chapter 70

Dave, VE3KL was awarded a QCWA Century Club Certificate.

Dave developed his amateur radio passion as a teenager in Kingston, Ontario with the call sign VE3CBR in 1950. That led to a career as an engineer, academic researcher and university professor.

Retiring from McMaster University as Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in year 2000.

Dave and his wife re-settled in Ottawa where he applied for and obtained VE3KL. Dave then joined QCWA and Chapter 70 a few years later and served the Chapter as both Vice President and President.

For many years Dave wrote a popular column every two months for "The Canadian Amateur" magazine called "Transmission Lines and Antennas".
