I was first licensed in 1960 while attending High School in grade 10 at the age of 15 years. I went on to persue a carrer in Communications and worked on everything from VLF to satellites. I was very instrumental in developing the celluar service here in Nova Scotia, and finished my working years with my own small business here in Dartmouth, providing security systems, satellite communications and also Amateur Radio equipment. I am married with 2 daughters, and 5 grandchildren. I love DXing and contesting and rag chewing. CW is my most common mode. I also contest from VE1JF as one of the run operators. I have been to Sable Island, St. Paul's Island off the coast of Nova Scotia on several occassions. I have operated as part of the C51A team in The Gambia in 1993, and as /6Y5. Lately I have been vising some of the IOTA Islands here on the east coast of Canada.

My current station consists of: YAESU FT-1000D; TEN TEC CENTURION LINEAR; TEN TEC ARGONAUT II, FOR QRP; AEA PK-900; AEA KEYERS; BROWN BROTHERS PADDLES;

ANTENNAS: KLM-KT-34A AT 50 FT.; CUSHCRAFT D3W FOR WARC BANDS AT 55 FT.; KLM 80-40-15 65FT VERTICAL, WHICH I USE ON 160/80/40; ALPHA DELTA TWIN SLOPER

QSL's via the bureau do get here and are answered slowly. I do QSL 100%.
