Hello my name is Harry I'm Retired Fire fighter from the CityOf Lancaster Pennsylvania, January 15,1968 to April 1996 Twenty eight (28) years of CIVIL Service

At Retirement I was a driver of Engine Co # 3, I had held several positions before that, Ladder Man, Hose Man, Driver Engine co #1, Swing man between Engine # 1 and Truck B also Engine # 3 And Truck A.

After leaving High school I enlisted in the US Navy (1958) Went to boot camp at Great Lakes Illinois then was stationed at Gould Island Under Water Ordnance Station Newport Road Island until July 21, 1961 Aboard the YDT-4 I became an Electrician (EM-3)

The first Exultant (AMc-79) was launched on 27 September 1941 by W. A. Robinson Inc., Ipswich, Mass.; sponsored by Mrs. A. T. Leavitt Jr.; and placed in service on 14 January 1942 for minesweeping in the 6th Naval District out of Charleston, S.C. On 15 February 1943 she was reclassified YDT-4, and assigned to the 1st Naval District as a Diving Tender. She continued to perform this duty through 1962. Note: As the un-named YDT-4, she was disposed of as a target 1. July 1973.

I first became interested in Radio as a kid I had a floor Model radio that had a short wave tuner in it and I used to listen to the police on HF band also Ham Radio Did a lot of SWL.

I was first Licensed as WN3JQW AROUND 1968 and got back in to radio as N3KYR I have and maintain several repeaters UHF, VHF, ATV FASTCAN TV I have been the president of the Red Rose Repeater Association fron 2000 to 2010 Club call W3RRR. Web site WWW.W3RRR.ORG
