I am very honored to serve as the Vice Director for ARRL's Roanoke Division. From 2010 to 2014, I was ARRL North Carolina Section Manager. Also served on ARRL's national Public Relations Committee for 12 years, and am the 2001 recipient of ARRL's Philip J. McGan award for public relations and the 2014 Roanoke Division Service award winner.

First licensed in 1970 as WN1NOP in Massachusetts, then became WD4NZF in Virginia and WB2ZHS in New Jersey before being assigned N2COP in 1981 Moved to North Carolina in 1991 and never looked back. I may be "2" in call but I'm very much "4" in spirit.

Active in Boy Scouts and served on the staff of station K2BSA at the 2001 and 2005 National Jamborees. Have helped over 2,000 Boy Scouts earn the Radio Merit Badge, and have assisted over 300 youth to earn their licenses. Graduate of Tufts University and the Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Worked for AT&T International before moving into my present profession as a financial planner.

My two sons are both Eagle Scouts and hams. Reid (age 26) W4RSM and Lt. J.G. Grant, USN, (age 25) W4GHM.

I hold Life Memberships in ARRL, QCWA (and Piedmont Chapter #126) and OOTC. I'm also a member of FISTS (#11622) Hope to work u sn.
