I am the former ARRL Nebraska Section Manager and served in that capacity for 10 years. I am a member of the following clubs: ARRL Life Member, Nebraska Amateur Radio Club (Charter Member & Treasurer), AK-SAR-BEN ARC(Life Member), 3900 Club, SACMARC, SWIARC, Plattsmouth, Lincoln ARC, 10-10 International #49243, Quarter Century Wireles Association and Heartland DX Association. My daughter, son-in-law and grand daughters reside in Council Bluffs, IA. My wife Pat (KB0FSI) is employed in the medical field. I am retired, doing honey do's for the wife and getting our home fixed up. I have a part time job with the state of Nebraska that runs for about 18 weeks during the summer months. On Labor Day weekend of 1998, I suffered a minor stroke. I have learned to take it easy and not let things bother me like I used to. I am a Past President of the AK-SAR-BEN (1993 & 2006 )and Bellevue ARC's. My wife and I both belong to the American Legion. We are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. I am a usher/greeter. Since I have plenty of free time, I volunteer at church answering phones, sorting mail and whatever else is needed of me. We have a Collie named Buddy, a Border Collie - German short hair mixed female named Sadie, two cats, Sandy Rose and Mary Jane. I proudly served in the United States Air Force for 10 years. Besides me being a veteran, our dog Sadie is a veteran of the war in Iraq. I also found out that Sadie can track down mice. She was a drug and bomb sniffing dog, getting wounded by shrapnel. We enjoy spending our free time with our granddaughters, Rhiannon and Dianna, our daughter and son-in-law. In 2005, we had a new garage/deck built on to our house and enjoy sitting out on the deck when the weather is nice.
