First licensed as KN5EVI in 1959, upgraded to K5EVI in 1960, held continuosly ever since. ROWH since 1962. Member QCWA since 1985. On and off member of ARRL, AMSAT, and Dallas Amateur Radio Club. President of DARC in 1986. Active on amateur satellites beginning with AMSAT OSCAR 10. Now live in area with restrictive covenants on any external antennas, so operation is limited at present.
In addition to amateur radio, other interests include vintage sports car racing, digital photography, and three Border Collies in Flyball and Obedience competitions.
