William F. 'Bill' Christian Huntsville, AL QCWA # 20194 |

Bill was an active DXer for many years starting in the 1950´s. He was a former President of the North Alabama DX Club, and the Huntsville Amateur Radio Club, an ARRL Life Member and for many years never missed a meeting to either Club.
Bill worked for the Huntsville Times, the city´s main newspaper, for 30 years and when he retired, he requested they present him with a new HF amplifier instead of the more traditional gold watch and they did, and inscribed it appropriately. He told us all he wanted to replace his "ole Betsy" with a new amplifier.
