GENEVA - Roland A. St Louis, Jr., of Jay St. passed away Sunday (April 7th, 2013) at the Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (April 13th) at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St. Geneva. Masonic members will meet at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. for a Masonic Service. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Tae Kun Kim, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will be in Sand Hill Cemetery immediately following.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Knights Tempar Eye Foundation or First United Methodist Church.

Roland was born on November 20, 1926 in Branford, Conn., the son of the late Roland and Pauline Jablonski St Louis. Roland served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War and retired in 1988 after many years at Xerox as Technical Writer. Roland was a member of the Geneva Masonic Lodge 965 and was Master in 1998, Geneva Chapter #36, Salem Town Chapter #173 of Royal Arch Masons, Council Chapter Consistory of Scottish Rite, Knights Templar of Sagaywathea Commandry #17, Skoi Yase Council #75, Cryptic Masons and a member of Damascus Shrine. He also belonged to the American Legion Winnek Post 396, V.F.W Post 272, and attended the First United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the ARRL-American Radio Relay League, and a life member of the National Rifle Association. Roland was a scout master of Troop 114 in Sodus Point for many years. He was a member of the Eagle Board of Review. His passion was Amateur Radio; call sign was K2LKH and was often heard being active in RACES civil defense and disaster service. He had many years of engaging in general communication with other Hams worldwide. He belonged to the AWA-Amateur Wireless Association and spent much time docenting and working at the Antique Radio Museum in Holcomb NY. Roland also taught hunter safety for many years.

Roland is survived by his wife Janice; children, James St Louis of California, Diane St. Louis ( Elmer Schendel ) of Waterloo and Cynthia (Eric Snyder) Chapman of Avon, Conn.; step- children, Jay King of Phoenixville, Penn., Gregory (Saundra) King of Ann Arbor , Mich., Pamela (Jim) Steinkirchner of Brockport and Matthew (Michelle Hendricks) King of Syracuse; grandchildren, Ryan and Justin King, Chris, Kathy and Alicia Steinkirchner, Chelsea, Kiersten and Sydney King, Angela ( Dominick ) DeTore and Samera Chapman; great-grandson, Jace DeTore; sister Blanche Redding of Conn., and a brother, John St Louis of Conn.

He was predeceased, besides his parents, by two sisters, Marion and Dorothy.
