Louisville Chapter 1(A) Louisville, KY Chartered in 1952 In the 1953 QCWA Yearbook Forward, paragraph 6, President John Di Blasi, W2FX(SK) wrote: Chapter #1 in Cleveland was Chartered June 1, 1951, Louisville, chartered after Cleveland and before the first QCWA News Letter in June of 1952. Chapter #2 in Chicago was Chartered June 13, 1954. There is no record at QCWA HQ that a chapter ever existed in any of the cities named Louisville in the US. Those are in: AL - Barbour County ; CO - Boulder County ; GA - Jefferson County ; IL - Clay County ; KS - Pottawatomie County ; KY - Jefferson County ; MD - Carroll County ; MO - Chariton County ; MO - Lincoln County ; MS - Winston County ; MT - Jefferson County ; NE - Cass County ; NY - St Lawrence County ; OH - Adams County ; OH - Stark County ; TN - Lawrence County I talked to Frank, W4AMJ(SK), Charter Member #13, he was on the Board of Directors in 1953. Frank has no recollection of this chapter. I talked to Ralph, W2CVF, Charter Member #23 and he doesn't remember anything about our lost chapter. But I may be wrong. There may have been someone(s) who tried to start a Chapter in 1953, but I don't think there is anyone around today who can verify this. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
