Bill is the Producer/Writer of the weekly Amateur Radio ARNewsline bulletin service. Bill co- founded Newsline as the Westlink Radio Network in 1976.

First licensed in 1959 as WA2HVK, he has written two best-selling technical books, authored the "Looking West" column for 73 Magazine for 22 years; writes the VHF, FM and Repeater Column for Worldradio Magazine; has written countless articles in Amateur Radio, hobby electronics and broadcast related periodicals; produced and/or directed most ham radio films and video's released by ARRL or AMSAT since 1974 and originated the "Young Ham of the Year" award program in 1986.

He is a member of ARRL, QCWA and the Radio Club of America. He has received numerous awards for contributions to the betterment of the Amateur Radio Service. These include the DARA Special Achievement Award (1981), ARRL Southwestern Division Meritorious Service Award (1988), DARA Radio Amateur of the Year (1989), AMSAT Outstanding Contributions Award (1990) and ARRL National Certificate of Merit (1995).

Bill is a Broadcast Engineer with award winning KTTV-Fox News. He is a Broadcast Consultant in design and installation of digital and analog television post production facilities, an independent educational/industrial film and video producer and writer. His programs have won several major awards, the New York State Film Festival (1986 1987 competition) and the Chicago International Film Festival (2002 2003 competition). He is an EMMY Award recipient for his contributions to a "Regularly Scheduled Television News Program" (1984).
